COVID-19: Nepal to begin inoculation drive for elderlies as it receives made-in-India vaccines

Nepal has expedited preparations to start inoculating elderly and most vulnerable age groups from next month as it received a batch of COVID-19 vaccines purchased from India. A batch of one million Covishield vaccines developed by the Serum Institute of India (SII) was delivered on Sunday (February 21) via an Air India flight.

Nepal approves emergency use of SII's Covishield

Nepal Government on Friday (January 15) approved the emergency use of 'Covishield' vaccine, which is being manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII).The decision for the usage of the vaccine was taken by the Department of Drug Administration (DDA).
