The Road Transport and Highways minister said that the government is encouraging the use of new technologies. "Some DPRs (Detailed Project Reports) prepared by companies are worst and are responsible for road accidents," Gadkari, who is known for his frank views said at an event here.

FASTag will help save Rs 20,000 crore on fuel every year, says Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that mandatory use of FASTag would help save about Rs 20,000 crore on fuel cost every year. He also said that it would boost the revenue by at least Rs 10,000 crore. He launched a live monitoring system to assess the condition at toll plazas across the country.

RoadMin to soon send Motor Vehicles Bill to Cabinet
