From children of auto rickshaw drivers to those born to farmers and vegetable vendors, many Khelo India School Games (KISG) participants were from humble backgrounds but they beat all odds to grab the spotlight and showcase their talent.

Rich 'Guru-Shishya' tradition to feature in Khelo India School Games opening
The legendary Indian tradition of 'teacher-and-student', referred to as the 'Guru-Shishya Parampara', will be celebrated in grand style at the opening ceremony of the inaugural Khelo India School Games (KISG) to be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on January 31.
