Boost to khadi! Indian Red Cross Society to buy 1.80 lakh face masks from KVIC
Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has received a purchase order from the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) for supplying 1.80 lakh face masks. As per reports, the masks being prepared by the KVIC will be customized and will be made of 100% double-twisted handcrafted cotton fabric in brown colour with red piping.

The Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) never published a material that carried a photo of Mahatma Gandhi, so the controversy over Prime Minister Narendra Modi "replacing" the photo of Bapu in the KVIC calendar and diary in "needless" and "baseless", sources said on Friday.

The BJP on Friday rejected as "false" the charge that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's picture replaced that of Mahatma Gandhi in Khadi and Village Industries Commission's calendars, saying Gandhi's photo had not been used many a time in the past, and claimed Modi has promoted his philosophies while Congress used his name and photographs.
