Decision to put NASA's Juno spacecraft closer to largest planet halted

Mission managers for Juno probe to Jupiter have decided to delay the upcoming burn of its main rocket motor - designed to put the spacecraft closer to the largest planet in our solar system - until December, the US space agency said on Saturday.

As per NASA, the JunoCam instrument acquired a never-before-seen view on Jupiter's south pole on August 27, 2016, when the spacecraft was about 58,700 miles (94,500 kilometers) above the polar region.
