British PM Theresa May says values judiciary independence, press freedom
British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Sunday that she valued the independence of the judiciary and freedom of press, after a High Court ruling ordering the government to seek parliament`s approval to trigger Article 50 was attacked by the media.

Continuing his criticism of the quashing the NJAC Act, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday said doctrine of basic structure, including elected government and parliament's sovereignty, cannot be "dismantled" to save only independence of judiciary and favoured reconsideration of the verdict.
