PM Modi launches IPDS to ensure 24-hour power supply to every household
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched here the Rs 45,000-crore Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) which will strengthen distribution networks and ensure 24X7 power supply to all by 2022.

Power Minister will soon announce new date for IPDS launch
The Prime Minister's visit to Varanasi today was cancelled due to heavy rains. Projects worth Rs 3,268 crore, covering 247 towns have so far been sanctioned under IPDS of which projects worth Rs 1,067 crore for 23 circles covering 91 towns have been sanctioned for UP.
