Centre approves 78 days wage as bonus to Railway employees
The Modi government has given a huge gift to the central employees. The Union Cabinet has decided to give 78 days performance linked bonus to railway employees. Recently, the government had announced a 4% increase in dearness allowance for central employees.

About 11.27 lakh non-gazetted Railway employees are likely to benefit from the decision. This payment will be made before Dussehra/Puja holidays, bringing smile to lakhs of families ahead of the festive season, said an official release.

Government for the past couple of years has been announcing payment of Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 days wages for eligible non-gazetted railway employees (excluding RPF/RPSF personnel). This year will be the ninth consecutive year that the Modi government will maintain a bonus of 78 days wages.
