Tourism will suffer at 18% GST on rooms, warns Hotel Industry
The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) Monday said the government's four-tier structure in Good and Services Tax (GST), in which the service sector will be taxed at 18 percent, will cause the tourism sector a major setback.

'Hotels can continue selling water, soft drinks above MRP at tables'
Hotels and restaurants can sell mineral water and aerated drinks above the maximum retail price unless it is sold over the counter, The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India said today.
