Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot convened a follow-up meeting with all the stakeholders to address the public grievances concerning affixing of High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) and colour-coded fuel stickers on cars.

As per the Motor Vehicles Act and the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, the HSRP and colour-coded stickers are mandatory for all the vehicles.

All new vehicles to be pre-fitted with high security registration plates from April 2019
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had in April this year invited objections and suggestions from those likely to be affected from the amendment.
