Gold Prices Today, February 12, 2021: Gold plunges Rs 661 per 10 grams, slips below Rs 46,850
Gold futures on Friday slipped 0.44 per cent to Rs 47,301 per 10 grams, as participants offloaded their holdings on a low spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for the April delivery fell Rs 207, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 47,301 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 12,970 lots.

Gold Prices Today, February 11, 2021: Gold gains marginally; rises above Rs 47,509 per 10 gram
In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at Rs 47,473 per 10 gram. Silver also jumped Rs 454 to Rs 69,030 per kg, from Rs 68,576 per kg in the previous trade. In the international market, gold was trading with gains at USD 1,844 per ounce and silver was flat at USD 27.18 per ounce.

In the international market, gold was trading higher at USD 1,843 an ounce, while silver was also up at USD 27.31 an ounce. Gold prices were firm on US stimulus hopes and dollar decline, which kept prices above USD 1,840 on strong investors' appetite, Patel said.

The rupee inched up by 3 paise to 72.93 against the dollar in the opening trade on Friday. In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at Rs 46,901 per 10 gram. In the international market, gold was quoting with gains at USD 1,810 per ounce and silver was flat at USD 26.71 per ounce.
