Glenmark gets India's nod for making favipiravir for COVID-19 treatment
The Mumbai-based company said the approval was part of India`s accelerated approval process and the drug was meant for "restricted emergency use," meaning patients must sign their consent before being treated by the drug.

HC restrain Glenmark from selling anti-diabetes drugs
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday restrained Mumbai-based Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd from making or selling its generic anti-diabetes drugs Zita and Zita-Met while holding it infringing patent of a US drug maker Merck, Sharp and Dohme Corporation.

'Dr Reddy's in talks to buy UCB India business for $135 million'
Drugmaker Dr Reddy`s Laboratories Ltd is in talks to acquire the Indian operations of Belgian pharmaceutical company UCB SA for about $135 million, said a person with direct knowledge of the matter.
