There has been a huge explosion in a firecracker factory in Sonipat, Haryana. The blast was so massive that the factory building was completely destroyed.

The Prime Minister Office in a tweet sent condolences to the families of the bereaved and also announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakhs to the families of those who lost their lives due to the fire. To douse the fire in the factory at Acchankulam village, ten fire fighting units from various locations had rushed to the spot.
