Haryana authorities issue travel advisory in view of farmer's tractor parade on Republic Day

Authorities in some of Haryana districts close to the national capital has issued advisories on Sunday (January 24) against unnecessary travel towards Delhi over the next couple of days in view of a January 26 tractor parade by protesting farmer unions.

Farmer unions denied permission to hold tractor rally on Delhi's outer ring road

Another meeting is expected to be held on Friday to find a way for the proposed tractor rally by farmers on Republic Day. The Delhi Police suggested that the farmers take out tractor parades on the KMP (Kundli-Manesar-Palwal) and KGP (Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal) highway outside Delhi, but the farmers rejected this proposal. Farmers have been protesting on the different borders of the national capital since November 26, 2020.

Farmers adamant on taking out tractors parade in Delhi, meeting with Delhi Police

A meeting was held between the Delhi Police and farmer organizations regarding the farmers' tractor rally. In which the farmers' organizations were appealed to take out the rally outside Delhi. But, farmers are adamant on taking out a tractor rally on Outer Ring Road itself.
