Andhra Pradesh tops 'ease of doing business' ranking of states and UTs; UP 2nd, Telangana third
Andhra Pradesh has retained the top position in the ranking of states and union territories (UTs) based on the implementation of the business reform action plan, according to a report released by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday.

India jumps 14 notches, ranked 63rd in Ease of Doing Business
India has recorded a jump of 14 positions to the 63rd among 190 countries as per the World Bank. Last year India was ranked in 77th position. In six years of the Narendra Modi government, India`s ranking improved 79 places from 142nd in 2014 to 63th in 2019, a record for a major economy.

Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman released a report on Ease of Doing Business ranking of states on Monday, where Andhra Pradesh and Telengana topped the chart with 98.78 percent each.
