South Western Railway RPF bust major cross border gang of hackers and touts involved in e-ticketing
According to the Chief Public Relations Officer of South Western Railway, Hubballi, the illegal operators and hackers used Pakistani software to compromise the IRCTC Tatkal system to book reserved tickets, bypassing the Indian Railways as well as the bank security systems.

Only 6 rail tickets can be booked per user id on IRCTC website
IRCTC brings a big change to e-ticketing. Going forward from a single only 6 tickets can be booked in a month. This decision is made to keep a check on illegal ticket transactions.
