Supreme Court upholds Kerala HC order, says disabled people can't be denied quota in job promotions

The top court said that the 1995 Act does not make a distinction between a person who may have entered service on account of disability and one who may have acquired disability after having entered the service.

Key buildings, stations, websites to be made disabled friendly

With around 2.68 crore persons living with disability in India, government today said it has set a target to convert 4,800 key buildings, all international airports, 75 railway stations, 25 per cent of public transport buses and 3000 public-centric websites into disabled friendly services by July next year.
