Students peacefully studying inside library also beaten by police, says Jamia VC Najma Akhtar
Police said they entered the university campus only to control the situation after protesters indulged in violence near New Friends' Colony area in south Delhi. Condemning the police action, university Vice-Chancellor Najma Akhtar said that students who were studying inside the library were also beaten by the police.

Citizenship (Amendment) Bill was passed by the Parliament and now is a law. However, this act did not receive any good feedback from across the nation.
