Cigarette brands in India implement 85 percent pictorial warnings
The implementation comes after the Health Ministry under Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 (COTPA) increased the size of graphic health warnings on tobacco products from 20 percent to 85 percent.

Cigarette larger pictorial warnings: Companies shut factories
Major cigarette manufacturers including ITC, Godfrey Philips and VST have decided to shut all their factories and stop manufacturing with effect from today in the wake of larger pictorial warnings covering 85 percent of the packaging space coming into force.
