An "alert circular" to maintain strict vigil against illegal imports of Chinese crackers has already been sent by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence to Chief Commissioners of Customs and related departments, Tamil Nadu government informed Madras High Court today.

Not given any clearances on imports of Chinese crackers: Govt
The Centre has not given any clearances for imports of Chinese crackers and asked all state governments to take action against any illegal shipments of such products from that country, Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said here on Saturday.
