Lok Sabha passes child labour Bill despite opposition from children's rights activists
The Lok Sabha on Monday passed the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2016, despite opposition by several MPs protesting against provisions that allow a child to help out in family enterprises after school hours.

Parliament passes bill to allow kids below 14 to be engaged in 'home-based work'
The Parliament on Tuesday passed the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2016, seeking to prohibits employment of children below 14 years in any "profession" but allows "home-based work", such as helping their families in forests, agricultural fields and small family-run units with the Lok Sabha giving its nod.
