Delhi NCR: Dengue patients at risk of black fungus
Amidst the increasing cases of dengue in Delhi-NCR, now the threat of black fungus is also looming. In Ghaziabad, a person was found suffering from black fungus after dengue. This is the second case of black fungus in NCR.

Black fungus declared notified disease under Epidemic Act in Delhi
The Delhi Epidemic Diseases (Mucormycosis) Regulations, 2021, which will be valid for a year from the date of publication, states that all healthcare facilities, government or private, will report each and every suspected or confirmed cases of black fungus in the national capital to the city health department.

Gujarat has logged 2,859 black fungus cases, while Maharashtra 2,770, followed by Andhra Pradesh in the third slot with 768 cases. Delhi has 119 cases of black fungus, as per the data, in contrast with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's statement that the national capital has 620 cases.
