Ban on large diesel vehicles a transient phase, says Jaitley

Tokyo: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has played down the ban on registration of new large diesel-powered vehicles in Delhi, saying it is a "transient" phase and India is a market large enough not to adversely affect auto companies.

Supreme Court ban on 2000 cc diesel cars stays

The Supreme Court on Saturday adjourned hearing on the plea of automobile giants pleading to allow registration of diesel cars of more than 2000cc in Delhi NCR. The ban on registration of diesel vehicles will continue till further orders.
