Rajya Sabha: TMC MP snatches Pegasus case speech letter from IT minister Vaishnaw's hands and tore them

On Thursday, a huge uproar in the Rajya Sabha over the Pegasus snooping controversy took place. The extent was reached when Information and Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav got up to speak on this controversy and Trinamool Congress MP Shantanu Sen snatched the paper writing his speech. Sen then tore the paper and threw it towards the Deputy Speaker.

Officials in new Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s office to work in two shifts

"Minister of Railways has directed that all the offices and staff of the minister's office will work in two shifts i.e 7:00 hrs16:00 hrs and 15:00 hrs -12:00 midnight with immediate effect," DJ Narain, ADG PR, Ministry of Railways said.

Vaishnaw worked in Odisha till 2003, before being appointed as deputy secretary in the office of former prime minister A B Vajpayee. He was later appointed as Vajpayee's private secretary after the NDA lost the election in 2004. He quit government service in 2008 and went to Wharton University in the USA to pursue an MBA.
