According to a report, quoting researchers from Germany’s Technische Universitat Darmstadt, it has been revealed that any person can access Apple users’ email addresses and mobile numbers, despite being a stranger and it is done by just sharing pane on the device after the sharing process is initiated.

Beware! Hackers stealing personal details of AirDrop users through THIS bug
Basically, AirDrop functions in a way that takes into consideration a mutual authentication mechanism to compare a user’s phone number and email address with the entries in the address book of the device. The researchers further revealed that hackers can access these personal details by being close to the person and also possessing a WiFi-enabled device.
