RBI cuts number of free cross-bank ATM transactions to 3 per month
Frequent withdrawal of money from ATMs will become expensive from November, with the RBI imposing a limit of 3 transactions per month from ATMs of other banks and 5 from the same bank in six metropolitan cities.

The RBI has also imposed a charge of Rs 20 on additional use of such third party ATMs.

Five free transactions from third-party ATM likely to come down to two
At present A/c holders enjoy five free transactions per month at the ATMs of banks other than their own, while there is no such limit for use of own-bank ATMs.
