Valencia: Ace Indian tennis player Leander Paes and his Polish partner Lukasz Kubot suffered a disappointing straight sets loss in men's doubles quarter-finals in the Valencia Open.

The unseeded pair of Chris Guccione and Andre Sa won the match 6-6, 4-6 on the indoor hard court of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencies on Thursday.

The match lasted for just an hour and 36 minutes.

Earlier, the second-seeded Indo-Polish combination took an hour and 11 minutes to get the better of Spaniard-Argentine wildcard pair of Pablo Carreno Busta and Federico Delbonis to reach the last eight of the 537,050-euro event.
