New Delhi: India tennis legend Leander Paes captured his first Challenger doubles title in 16 years after winning Busan Open Challenger doubles title along with Sam Groth of Australia on Sunday.

The top seeds beat second-seeded Thai twins Sanchai Ratiwatana and Sonchat Ratiwatana 4-6, 6-1, 10-7 in a grueling final which lasted 1 hour 9 minutes.

This is Paes' first title of the year, and also the first one for the new team. Paes and big-serving Groth reached the final of Mexican Challenger in April, in their first tournament.
