New Delhi: In a major upset at the Australian Open 2016, Spaniard Rafael Nadal suffered a shocking defeat on Tuesday at the hands of compatriot Fernando Verdasco at Rod Laver Arena.
The 14-time Grand Slam champion, who defeated Verdasco at the same court in 2009 semi-finals, in a match that lasted for 5 hours 14 minutes, was this time at the receiving end as he lost 7-6(6), 4-6, 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-2 in four hours and 41 minutes.
