Sam Stosur hoping to regain top 10 spot in three remaining Grand Slams

Sydney: American tennis player Samantha Stosur is reportedly hoping to achieve a return to the top ten rankings in the world in the three remaining Grand Slams following her third-round singles loss and a second-round doubles defeat in the Australian Open.

Now seeded17th, Stosur was outdone on Friday by the 14th seed Ana Ivanovic, who has also defeated Serena Williams in their fourth round clash on Sunday.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Stosur said that she is looking to go back to the top ten again by winning a number of matches, especially the remaining Grand Slams, and working hard and hoped to peak at the right times.

The Roland Garros clay is not just the next opportunity, but probably the biggest one, considering how well the surface suits her heavy power and spin, and Stosur`s record as a previous finalist in Paris, the report added.
