With Brendon McCullum's retirement, Guptill is the Black Caps' most brutal force who can tear apart any side. Snubbed during the IPL 2016 auction, Guptill can show what franchises would go on to miss given his consistent performances up the order for New Zealand. He was seen in supreme form in the shorter formats in the Kiwi's victories against Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Australia recently. This highlights why he should be feared immensely.

Gayle has been one of the best and powerful T20 batsmen in modern times, and his big hitting ability could float any side given his day. Gayle has enjoyed successful times in domestic T20s across the globe including the BBL recently, where he slammed a 12-ball fifty. The World Cup is a different aspect altogether, and Gayle would hope he makes amends for a troubled WI with his force in India where he has won so much hearts.

The Indian stalwart has enjoyed a stupendous rise in Twenty20 cricket of late and that comes as a breather for the hosts. Kohli's No. 3 position in the batting line-up, will be crucial for India setting a platform, whether batting first or second. Kohli's ability to hit boundaries and run between the wickets is important for any side. This is the biggest plus point for the fearless batsman, who had a superb time in Australia. He will want to continue that form at home. Kohli's fielding too is notable and will also be a constant guidance for skipper MS Dhoni.
