Reigning champions Atletico de Kolkata signed last season's hero Iain Hume from Kerala Blasters. The Canadian striker is expected to forge a strong partnership upfront with the side's star forwards. Hume is a player who has plenty of workload on the pitch and his overall impact will be the key for Kolkata. He scored five goals and made three assists last season and will want to better the statistics for his new club. He was awarded with the golden ball for his stellar performances in the first season. No wonder Atletico fans are so upbeat!

Former Portugal striker Helder Postiga signed for Atletico de Kolkata as their marquee player and the level of experience he brings will pump up their forward line. Postiga is likely to partner Iain Hume in a new look attack for the defending champions who have sold Fikru. Postiga's presence seems to have lifted the Kolkata side. Postiga recently said he was eager to emulate the deeds of former Spanish World Cupper Luis Garcia. Kolkata will look forward to Postiga score goals and the 32-year-old knows he will have to deliver the goods.

The former Brazil and Real Madrid legend is one of the big stars to feature in this season's ISL. Carlos will be playing for the Delhi Dynamos as their marquee player-coach. The 42-year-old brings experience, guidance and valuable presence for the Dynamos. His age will play a factor given he is well past 40, but rotating himself well could do justice for Delhi. His attacking nature down the left flank and stellar free-kicks will be something the fans od Dynamos will be eager to watch when the action begins.

Elano comes to the picture once again with Chennaiyin FC as the former Brazilian international looks to continue from where he left off in the first season. The 34-year-old netted eight goals in nine games for Chennaiyin FC, and ended the season as the league’s top scorer. Elano is Chennaiyin’s marquee player for the second season in a row and his superb passing along with his prowess set pieces will keep the fans engaged. Setting up goals for former Aletico forward Fikru Tefera will be a key factor for the midfielder.
