UNBELIEVABLE: A cricketer created history at Rio Olympics by winning silver medal – Details Inside!

New Delhi: Former South African cricketer Sunnette Viljoen created history at Rio Olympics by winning a silver medal at Rio Olympics in the women’s javelin throw event.

Sunnette, who played one Test and 17 ODIs for the Proteas’ women’s team, finished second behind Croatian Sara Kolak, with her best throw of 64.92m behind Kolak's 66.18m.

Viljoen’s only Test outing came against India in March 2002, where she scored 17 and 71 in two innings. After making ODI debut in 2000, she called times two two years later with 198 runs and five wickets to her name.

Guess it was her dream to win an Olympic medal, which made her switch from cricket to Javelin throw and she certainly nailed it at Rio Olympics.
