Boston: Olympic silver medallist and event defending champion Nick Willis from New Zealand won the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) men`s Invitational Mile event.
Willis beat 2012 Olympic 1,500m silver medallist Leo Manzano, Irish champion Paul Robinson and British champion Chris O`Hare to win the gold medal here Saturday, reports Xinhua.
World Championships steeplechaser De`Sean Turner took an early lead after the start but Willis managed to fight back in the second lap, taking the title and a $3000 check after breaking the tape with 4:11.3.
