Haldwani: Former WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, fondly known by his ring name ‘The Great Khali’, was on Wednesday injured in a sporting event at Haldwani, Uttarakhand.

According to a report in The Hindustan Times, though the exact nature of Khali’s injuries was yet to be known, sources said “foreign fighters” were responsible.

The 44-year-old was reportedly participating in the first event of ‘The Great Khali Wrestling Show’ at the Indira Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Gaula Par when he suffered the injuries.

Khali was up against three foreign wrestlers who smashed him with chairs and punches.

According to Dehradun.amarujala.com, Khali was admitted to ICU division of Brijlal Hospital where he will be under observation for the next 24 hours.

Khali has suffered injuries on head and has also reported of back pain.
