New Delhi: Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal heaped praise on PV Sindhu, saying Indian badminton is doing well.

"I think Indian badminton all over is doing well. I think along with Sindhu, Sameer [Verma] also reached the finals at Hong Kong Open and all of them are doing extremely well."

Nehwal, who is coming back from an injury lay-off, also competed in the Hong Kong event, but failed to proceed further than the quarter-finals.

The story was similar in Macau Open.

In her 'virtual' absence, Sindhu has taken up the responsibility to lead the Indian challenge in various competition.

In an impressive year, the 21-year-old won silver medal in Rio Olympics, then captured her first ever Super Series title at China Open.

Both Sindhu and Verma reached their respective singles finals in Hong Kong, but they ended second best.

Talking about her own return, and the form which has seemed to have taken a hit, Saina said, she hoped to be back to her best by end of next month.
