New Delhi: New Delhi: Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal defeated Dinar Dyah Ayustine of Indonesia 17-21, 21-18, 21-12 to advance into quarter-finals of Macau Open Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament on Thursday.
After going down in the first game, the London Olympics bronze medallist bounced back strongly to register a 17-21, 21-18, 21-12 win over her Indonesian opponent in the women`s singles match that lasted about an hour.
With the brilliant win, Saina has now set up a clash against Zhang Yiman of China for a place in last four.
Earlier, the 26-year-old from Hisar kicked off the tournament on a promising note as she registered 21-23, 21-14, 21-18 win over Indonesia`s Hanna Ramadini.
Meanwhile, B.Sai Praneeth and Parupalli Kashyap will also aim to seal their place in the last eight when they take on their respective opponents in the men`s singles event later today.
