New Delhi: Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone's mother-in-law has been 'kidnapped' in Brazil according to local media.

According to a report in Brazilian magazine Veja, Aparecida Schunck, the mother of Eccelstone’s third wife Fabiana Flosi, was kidnapped in the Interlagos neighborhood of Sao Paulo on Friday.

The report further added that the abductors were demanding an exorbitant sum of 36.5 million dollars (120 million Brazilian reals) for her release.

This is said to be the largest ever ransom demanded in a kidnapping case in Brazil.

Ecclestone has been married to Flosi since 2012, after the pair met when she was working at the Brazilian GP in 2009.
