London: Update:Yogeshwar Dutt has qualified for the repechage round and will now contest for bronze medal. He will face Franklin Gomez Matos of Puerto Rico.
The match starts at 10:15 pm (IST).
India’s Yogeshwar Dutt lost the pre-quarterfinal bout to Besik Kudukhov (0-3) losing both the periods. He is now out of gold/silver medal contention.
If Kudukhov makes it to the final of the 60kg event then Dutt will compete in the repechage round for a bronze medal.
As it happened
Period 2: Dutt loses 0-2 and the bout.
Period 1: Besik Kudukhov won the toss and got the advantageous clinch position and got the first point. So, he now leads the bout 1-0.
The match is underway.
India’s Yogeshwar Dutt will face Besik Kudukhov of Russia in the pre-quarterfinals (Men`s 60kg Freestyle).
