New Delhi: The opening day of the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League turned out to be record-breaking one for Lionel Messi. The Barcelona superstar scored three goals within the first hour against Scottish champions Celtic to bag his sixth career hat-trick in the competition.
The feat moved Lionel Messi to first spot in the list of all time UCL hat-tricks, surpassing arch rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
It was also Messi's 36th career hat-trick.
