Euro 2016: Ukraine vs Poland - Players to watch out for

New Delhi: After a narrow 1-0 win over Northern Ireland and a goalless stalemate against Germany, Poland face a wounded Ukraine side preparing to end their woeful UEFA Euro 2016 campaign on a high.

Ukraine, who are yet to register a goal in the campaign, will look for an instrumental performance from their star winger Yevhen Konoplyanka while Poland will bank on captain Robert Lewandowski who has failed to live up to the expectation of being the most prolific forward currently in Europe.

Konoplyanka, who joined his national team after winning the UEFA Europa League with Sevilla, has been miserable as Ukraine's attacking linchpin. The 26-year-old has neither been able to provide service to the rest of his teammates nor has converted the chances himself. Much is expected from the winger's trickery and skillful play ahead of the match against Poland.

Arguably the best No. 9 in the world, Lewandoski has probably been missing the sort of service he receives from club teammates at Bayern Munich, as the Polish striker has surprisingly struggled to open his goal scoring account in France. While a victory will guarantee Poland's progression to the pre-quarters, the 27-year-old would want to score as many as possible to try and finish as the group leaders ahead of Germany.
