Super swap: Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea?

New Delhi: Even as the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid is being put into question, the Spanish giants have reportedly shown interests in Eden Hazard.

It's a known fact that Hazard, if not in the bracket of a Ronaldo or a Lionel Messi, is one of the hottest players today. However, like his more celebrated Portuguese super-star, the twinkle-toed Belgian is having concerns at his club.

Ronaldo, who was recently seen whispering in the ear of Paris Saint-Germain boss, Laurent Blanc after Madrid's not so impressive win over the French champions in the UEFA Champions League game, is having his own issues at Santiago Bernabue. And he is expected to leave the club, or rather the club is looking to encash on the player, before the 30-year-old hits his mid-thirties.

Amidst reports of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich following Ronaldo's every move, rumour mills are working overtime setting up a possible swap between the clubs. If these rumours to be believed, the London-based club considering to sell Hazard to finance the Ronaldo move.

And further fueling the speculation is none other than Zinedine Zidane, who is currently handling Real Madrid's B team, and certainly an important person in the Los Blancos hierarchy.

The French legend reportedly said that, "After Messi and Ronaldo, Hazard is my favourite player. It is spectacular to see him play."

The 1998 World Cup winner also added, "Do I see him going to Real Madrid? I love the player, that's all I will say."

Hazard has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge this season so far, with defending champions Blues enduring a miserable start to their campaign.

And we certainly can't discount the fact that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, who negotiated the player’s £80m transfer to Madrid in 2009, is a close friend to Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, who hasn't discounted a re-union with the former Manchester United player.

In fact, reports of Abramovich willing to offer "an irresistible offer" for Ronaldo have only fuelled the speculation.
