New Delhi: Southampton manager Ronald Koeman and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero were on Friday named best manager and player respectively for the month of January.
Three wins over Watford, West Brom and Manchester United were enough for Koeman to clinch the award. Koeman's sides comeback in January was impressive especially after they had lost to Norwich in the league and Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
Watford's Quique Sanchez Flores had won the December award in this category.

Likewise, Aguero too played a key role in City enjoying a good run last month. The Argentine hitman scored five goals and provided one assist, which helped Manuel Pellegrini's side to secure eight points from four league games.

Watford's Odion Ighalo was awarded player of the month for December.
