Champions League: When Luis Suarez forgot passport before travelling for Arsenal game

London: Ahead of the much-anticipated Champions League clash against Arsenal, Barcelona's striker Luis Suarez had left his passport at home before his team's flight to London.

However, someone from the club was sent back to the Uruguayan's home to pick up his passport as the 29-year-old forward boarded the flight with the rest of his teammates, BBC reported on Tuesday.

The Uruguayan has been in outstanding form this season as he has scored 41 goals to date.

In fact, if we talk about Barcelona formidable attacking trio, who are also known as MSN (Lionel Messi, Suarez and Neymar), then they have scored 91 goals between them this season.

But this is not the first time a football player or manager has forgotten his passport.

Earlier, Manchester United defender Marcus Rojo was fined 140,000 pounds after failing to make the club's US tour because he hadn't renewed his passport last July.

In November 2013, then Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho dropped star player Eden Hazard when he was late for training after forgetting his passport before a vital Champions League match.

Danny Welbeck, then Manchester United player, was left red-faced after forgetting his passport before a flight to Amsterdam for their Europa League match at Ajax in February 2012.
