New Delhi: Indian champions Mohun Bagan continued their dream run with third successive win, even as Bengaluru FC claimed their first win in the 2016 AFC Cup on Wednesday.

High-flying Mohun Bagan maintained their record intact as they rode on striker Jeje Lalpekhlua's double strikes to notch up a 3-2 win over Myanmar's Yangon United in the AFC Cup football at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati.

Sony Norde gave Bagan an early lead thanks to a 10th minute strike. The lead was doubled in the 21st minute with Jeje finding the first of his brace. But the Burmese side pulled one back in the 34th minute through a Marcelo Fernandes goal. He then restored parity in the 64th minute, only to see Jeje scoring the winner two minutes later.

The sides meet on April 13 at Yangon in the first of Group H return legs.

Maziya of Maldives and South China of Hong Kong are other two teams in the group. Bagan lead the table with nine points, five more than second placed Yangon and Maziya. South China are without a point.

Bagan are unbeaten for 11 matches in I-League also.

In another match, Federation Cup winners Bengaluru FC registered their first win of the campaign with Indian captain Sunil Chhetri scoring the lone goal in the Group H match against Ayeyawady United in Yangon.

Chhetri scored the goal in the 34th minute and kept their chances qualifying for next round alive. After the end of first leg, Bengaluru are third in the group with three points, behind run-away leaders Johor Darul Ta'zim of Malaysia and Ayeyawady.

Johor have nine points, while Bengaluru, Ayeyawady and Lao Toyota FC of Laos have three points each.
