While Spain topped Group B by virtue of having scored more goals. Portugal came second after suffering a huge scare as a spirited Iran went all out to secure a win for a place in the Round of 16. Spain and Portugal had played against each other in the Group B opener and dished out an entertaining match with a 3-3 draw.
Spain and Portugal then defeated Iran and Morocco by a margin of 1-0 each. While Iran vs Morocco match ended in the former's favour by a margin of 1-0.
