Yasir Shah: Five facts you must know about Pakistan's suspended spinner

New Delhi: In what was a major blow for Pakistan cricket team, spinner Yasir Shah was provisionally suspended for failing a dope test by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday.

The leggie, who is currently ranked No. 3 in the ICC Test bowling rankings, tested positive for a banned diuretic during the one-day series with England in the United Arab Emirates last month.

Here are five facts you must know about the 29-year-old:

Despite making his first class debut in 2002, Yasir had to wait for nine years to make his international debut.

In Tests, Yasir's best bowling figures in an innings came against the Lankans where he scalped seven wickets for just 76 runs. Pakistan won the Test by 10 wickets and Yasir ended up with figures of 9/155.

Yasir recently trained under Australia's maverick spinner Shane Warne, who predicted that he will go on to pick more than 200 Test wickets.

In a series against Sri Lanka earlier this year, Yasir entered history books as he became the quickest Pakistani bowler to claim 50 Test wickets (from 9 matches).

Yasir has so far picked 76 Test wickets from 12 matches and 18 ODI wickets from 15 matches.
