India's tour of West Indies: Shai Hope replaces Rajendra Chandrika for third Test

New Delhi: West Indies have brought in Barbados opener Shai Hope for the third Test against touring India. The 22-year-old opener replaced Rajendra Chandrika in 14-member squad.

Hope has played six Tests, scoring 171 runs at an average of 15.54. The right-handed batsman can also keep wickets. He is expected to play the match, which begins on August 9 in St Lucia.

Chandrika had a torrid time against India. He managed to 16, 31, 5 and 1 in the first two Tests, and his average of 14.00 is statistically the worst by any West Indies opener who has played 10 or more innings.

India lead the four-Test series 1-0.
