Durban: Leaving behind their impressive performance in the just-concluded Test series, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni Saturday said his side will come out all
guns blazing in the one-off Twenty20 International against South Africa here tomorrow.
On a high after their maiden drawn Test series on African soil, Dhoni said it would be difficult to shift gear for the limited overs version but promised that the visitors will give their best shot in the match.
"Of course, it will be difficult because more often than not there is just one odd T20 game. So, it becomes very difficult to get into the groove and then come out of that and play the ODIs. But we will go out there and give our 100 per cent. We have got players of the ODI squad and there are T20 specialists in the side," Dhoni said on the eve of the match.
"It`s quite a difficult thing to do because the nature of the red ball is very different compared to the white ball. The demand of the format is very different. So it is important to use the break in between in the best possible manner," he said.
"We will take the match very seriously though one may consider it as warm-up game before the five ODIs. We would look to go there and enjoy," he added.
The match will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, which hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the India skipper said his side`s experience of playing in small New Zealand grounds would be of great help tomorrow.
"You may say the experience we have of playing in New Zealand will come into effect. Of course, the sides will be pretty small compared to the long front boundaries. We haven`t seen the ground yet. Before the match, we will play a bit of
football there and have a fielding session. It looks really different from the outside, but very similar to a football stadium," Dhoni said.
Tomorrow`s T20 encounter will be an emotional affair for the South Africans as pacer Makhaya Ntini would be playing his last international cricket match.
"It is a big game for Makhaya (Ntini) because it is his last game. He was part of Chennai in IPL and we have had some time together. Hope he has a good life after cricket because life doesn`t stop," Dhoni said.
