Waqar Younis: It's hard for PSL to produce players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma

New Delhi: Chief coach of Pakistan cricket team and former skipper Waqar Younis believes that his country's T20 tournament, Pakistan Super League (PSL), will take some time to produce international cricketers of high caliber.

The inaugural edition of PSL is taking place in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and as per the report in the Dawn, Younis clearly feels that the League would take some time to produce players like Indian batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Despite having high expectation from the PSL, the bowling legend feels that it's not possible for the league to immediately churn out players of the class of certain players, like the Indian Premier League ( IPL) had produced for their national team.

In fact, Waqar think that patience would be the key as far as PSL is concerned, as it will take at least three to four years to turn the youngsters into players matching international standard.

The coach, however, insisted that the players that had been picked for the upcoming Asia Cup and World T20 events should be given chances to play in the PSL.
